You are reading the words of your New Captain and Yivera’s new Head of Marketing and Communications, Gabriel Shodunke, known in some quarters as OBP (Omobabapension), and this is our first ‘official’ contact. What shall I say? “Happy New Year and Welcome to a New Dispensation!”
On behalf of Yivera, I appreciate the hard work and growth you continue to bring our way. Ordinarily, you might say “a suck up!” In reality, you increase the quality and value of our catalogue with every new submission, which in turn improves our relationship with the DSPs – more placement opportunities. Now you see why I regarded you as “Yiverans”, you are literally family now.
Little Birdie Said “New Board what?”
I come bearing Great News, though, and I hope you can understand you “heard it from grapevine”, if asked. I am not the only new member aboard the Yivera ship.
There’s a new Board Member – an International Award-winning Music Director, Producer, Songwriter, Composer, Sound Designer and a member of GRAMMYs® and SAMRO. His appointment to our Board Room has begun breaking down walls that now enable us to distribute and promote our catalogue, your music, to more DSPs and social media channels worldwide.
A Champion of Fairness for independent artists, which generally improves, for lack of a better word, Yivera’s REP in the global music industry. A public announcement will be made soon, but I promise to give you the full gist before it hits the internet-of-things.
We anticipate this appointment and other projects in the pipeline will improve the streaming and publishing performances of every Yiveran’s catalogue.
Vegetable With The Roast
Sometimes, veggies go in the pot, and we understand some Yiveran’s might have received a ‘new release’ email about a previous release(s) – pay it no mind, please. Your songs are still available on all stores. For the other issue, song missing on some social stores – a vegetable that must be eaten for the coming catalogue growth.
We are improving our distribution, publishing, and catalogue infrastructure, with a new technical partner, to fulfill our promise to you.
